International Mother Language Day
On February 21, we celebrated Mother Tongue Day in our school. The main goals of this holiday are sensitizing to the beauty of the mother tongue and raising awareness of its role in the building of national identity.
On that day, the students from grades 5th, 6th and 7th took part in promoting the Polish language by creating various posters.
The resulting works include interesting facts about the language, tongue twisters, Polish proverbs, quotes from books or information about the Polish Nobel Prize winners in the field of literature.
All the works now decorate our offices and school corridors. They are also an encouragement to enrich your vocabulary and cultivate your native language on a daily basis.
And do YOU care about your native language? 🙂
